This Cookie Policy explains how Copper Tutoring uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on coppertutoring.co.uk and within our online portal dashboard, TutorCore. We believe in being fully transparent about how your data is handled.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you browse websites. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, keep user sessions active, and provide analytical information to site owners.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to keep parents and tutors securely logged into their TutorCore dashboards, track regional billing preferences, handle payment transaction tokens, and monitor basic user trends to improve our online experience.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
| Cookie Category | Purpose & Function | Consent Required? |
| Strictly Necessary | Essential for core platform operations. These keep you logged into your secure TutorCore dashboard, track your session identity, and handle security authentication tokens. This category also includes secure tokens generated by Stripe to verify payments. | No (Automatically active under UK law) |
| Performance & Analytics | We use basic web analytics (such as Google Analytics) to monitor how visitors navigate coppertutoring.co.uk. This helps us see which educational resources or subject pages are most popular, allowing us to keep our technical SEO healthy. | Yes (Controlled via our website banner) |
| Functional Cookies | These remember your individual user setup selections, such as choosing to stay logged in on a specific browser or remembering your portal theme adjustments. | Yes (Opt-in via preference settings) |
4. How Parents Can Control Cookies
You can adjust your web browser settings to refuse or block cookies completely, or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. However, because our portal relies heavily on session cookies for system authentication, disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from being able to log into TutorCore or complete secure lesson payments online.
You can adjust your preferences regarding analytical tracking at any point via the cookie settings banner visible on our public homepage.
